First aid is the help given to an injured person before medical treatment can be obtained. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training program that enables a person to recognise and give early help to someone developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves.
Imago Relationship Therapy is an integrated process for working with individuals, couples, parents and children, business colleagues, and others who seek to enhance the relationships they share.
Art Therapy involves the use of different art materials through which a client can express and explore thoughts and feelings in the presence of a qualified Art Therapist. The Art Therapist offers a safe, contained and supportive space in which to work through issues and concerns.
For many clients, it is easier to relate to the therapist through the art object, which provides a focus for discussion and analysis. The therapist and client then work together in trying to understand the client's personal process and the product of the session. Art Therapy can be a very powerful process, which may enable long buried feelings to come to the surface and be acknowledged. "It is the capacity of art to be a bridge between the inner world and outer reality which gives the image the role as mediator. The image mediates between unconscious and conscious, present and future aspects of a client." (The Handbook of Art Therapy: Caroline Case and Tessa Dalley, p 97).

Schema Therapy is an approach to the treatment of psychological problems that do not usually respond to brief therapy. Jeffrey Young has been developing schema therapy for over 25 years in the USA where it is widely used.
Schema therapy is also widely practiced in Europe and there is a comprehensive training program for psychotherapists in the Netherlands. The use of schema therapy in Holland was promoted by research on the treatment of borderline personality disorder, a condition that has been found to be very difficult to treat. Two randomized controlled trials demonstrated that schema therapy is an effective treatment borderline personality disorder (Giesen-Bloo et al., 2006) and research is ongoing in extending the schema therapy model to a wide range of psychological problems. The Dutch group have not only developed a high level of expertise in schema therapy but have also contributed to research and training. Recent publications have contributed to our understanding of the process of rescripting childhood memories (Arntz & Weertman, 1999; Weertman & Arntz, 2007) and of work with schema modes (Bernstein et al., 2007; Lobbestael et al., 2007 & 2008).
